Приступил к "Американским богам" Нила Геймана, вняв рекомендациям друзей-лжузеров vvladimirsky и coolwind. Заодно отмокаю душой от прочитанного в последнее время...
Но природная въедливость покоя не даёт:((
Не могу понять, как на с. 58 в номере Тени Среда осматривает окурок в пепельнице? Ведь этот окурок только что (на с. 56) Тень вынул из пальцев покойной жены и выбросил в окно...

Ответ Геймана: "Good question. You might want to go back and read the scene again; during the course of it, she smokes two cigarettes. The first she puts in the ashtray. The second burns down and Shadow dropped it out of the window. I guess because he figured he was going to have to sleep there and the smell of a burning filter-tip can be pretty appalling.
